The 79th Medical Wing has oversight for medical care at Air Force bases and work sites across Maryland, Washington, D.C. and Virginia. Activated on May 10, 2006, it is one of three medical wings in the Air Force.
One of the unique capabilities of the Wing is the 779th Aeromedical Staging Facility, serving as the primary East Coast hub for aeromedical evacuation aircraft returning sick or injured patients from Europe to the United States.

Emergency care is always available at the Malcolm Grow Emergency Department. Please call the "Flu Info Line" before presenting for non-emergent care related to the flu.
If you have questions or concerns about the H1N1 flu, call the "Flu Info Line" at 240-857-7777 to speak to a medic. The "Flu Info Line" will be in service Monday thru Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. until further notice.
