Joint Base Andrew keeps members of Team Andrews 'Fit to Fight' with two Fitness Centers located on either side of the base. The West Fitness Center offers a number of free classes and programs as well as the latest in workout equipment, basketball court and a Tactical Fitness Center. Also located within the West Fitness Center is the Health and Wellness Center, dedicated to promoting healthy behaviors.

The mission of the Health and Wellness Center is to promote and improve the health of the Andrews' Community through programs that enhance individuals' awareness, improvement, and maintenance of healthy behaviors. The HAWC works to identify and foster change in the environment that supports the Andrews' Community in choosing healthy behaviors.
Classes
- BE WELL Training - required for all members receiving a composite fitness score <75
- Running Module - helps members with preparing for the AF Fitness Assessment, placing emphasis on improving the cardiovascular system and health
- Strength Training Module - learn the benefits of strength training and how to prevent injury, improve balance, joint stability and body composition, increase bone density and metabolic rate
- Healthy Weight Module - taught how to use "MYPYRAMID" to help meet specific goals by determining caloric needs, portion control, physical activity, and more
- Fitness Fundamentals - Learn how to change your diet & start or revive your exercise program to control your weight.
- Stress Management - designed to help improve physical health, achieve greater peace of mind, & reduce the negative affects of stress
- Tobacco Cessation - designed for smokers & smokeless tobacco users who want to kick the habit
