Haitian earthquake survivors arrive at Joint Base Andrews

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton traveled to Joint Base Andrews with 22 survivors of the 7.0-magnitude earthquake that hit Haiti Jan. 12. In Haiti, the secretary met with Haitian President Rene Preval and pledged U.S. aid in the country’s relief effort. Andrews servicemembers receive H1N1 vaccine
Team Andrews members wait in line to receive their H1N1 shot or nasal spray Wednesday in the Reel Time Theater. More than 800 servicemembers and civilians were inoculated during one of two mass immunizations held at the theater. The H1N1 flu vaccine is required for all servicemembers and available to all beneficiaries and Department of Defense civilians. The vaccine will continue to be offered at the immunizations clinic at Malcolm Grow Medical Center 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday.
