The 11th Wing Retiree Activities Office (RAO) provides services to retirees, their spouses, including those spouses who are widows or widowers or to anyone acting on their behalf. The RAO also provides volunteer support to other base activities.

Offices are located at both Joint Base Andrews (JBA) and Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB). They may be visited in person or contacted by telephone or email.

Contact with the retiree community is also maintained through a newspaper column, a newsletter and annual Retiree Appreciation Days.

tabAnnual Retiree Appreciation Days 
The 11th Wing sponsors an annual Retiree Appreciation Day. The usual activities include a Health Fair including flu shots (when available), information tables with representatives from veterans service organizations, government agencies such the Social Security Administration, TRICARE, the Base Exchange and the base medical units. The program also includes a series of speakers presenting topics of interest to military retirees.

The 11 WG RAO produces two publications which discuss topics of interest to retirees and their families:

A column in the JBA weekly base newspaper the Andrews Gazette. To view back articles click here. Then, in the search box at the top right of the page enter "Retiree Activities Corner." Then, click on "GO."

The"Still Serving" Newsletter which is published three times a year in February, June & October. To view the latest edition, click here.

The Joint Base Andrews (JBA) RAO is located in Building 1604 near the Dining Hall where California Avenue dead-ends into Colorado Avenue. To reach the Andrews office, call 301-981-2726.

The Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB) RAO is located at 20 MacDill Blvd, Suite 112. To reach the Bolling office, call 202-767-5244. The FAX number is 202-404-5244.

The offices are staffed by volunteers and are open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. We recommend you call prior to visiting to ensure a volunteer will be available.
